Idea Workshop

Unlock your TED Talk potential with this virtual PD workshop!

Every educator has an idea worth sharing. The Idea Workshop is designed to help uncover it — and to spark a journey, supported by TED-Ed and TEDx, that not only amplifies the best ideas in education, but connects passionate educators to a global network of vital voices, defining the future of education. We’re so excited about what you have to say.

Please join us for an interactive workshop designed to help you identify, develop, and share your most compelling ideas with each other...and the world.

Led by Logan Smalley, TED-Ed’s founder and executive director, this 60-minute professional learning session offers you and your fellow educators a dynamic opportunity to harness the power of storytelling and effective public speaking.

Throughout the workshop, you'll engage in:
  • Idea Exploration: Construct a fresh definition of what makes an idea memorable and impactful.
  • Interactive Brainstorming: Discover a practical, repeatable framework to mine your experiences as an educator.
  • Professional Speaker Coaching: Learn proven techniques from TED’s expert coaches to craft and deliver your message with confidence.
This virtual, interactive Idea Workshop is where every educator begins. Once completed, educators are presented with exciting free resources to continue developing their talk, and avenues for sharing it with a wider community.
