TED and Google want to hear your best ideas about AI in education

AI is changing how we teach and learn. Educators should shape what comes next.

TED and Google are launching a global search for ideas from educators who are using AI. We want to hear from you if you are an educator who:
  • Actively uses AI in the classroom, lecture hall or curriculum design, at the primary, secondary or higher-education level.
  • Has firsthand experience designing and refining approaches that are making a difference for students and educators.
  • Thinks deeply about AI's role in teaching and learning, and has ideas worth spreading.
Educators with the most compelling ideas will have the chance to share their talks on the TED stage. Register for the Idea Workshop to get started.

How it works: AI in education idea search

Register for the Idea Workshop. This free, 60-minute professional learning experience guides you through uncovering, shaping and refining your big idea for AI in education. Start and pause whenever you want — it's fully asynchronous. New sessions are added weekly.

Submit your idea by November 15 at 11:59pm EST. After completing the workshop, you'll be able to submit your idea directly to TED's curation team. Educators with the most compelling ideas will be invited to speak at TED2027 in San Diego, California.

What you'll gain from the Idea Workshop

The Idea Workshop is a free, 60-minute professional learning experience that guides you through three lessons. It's designed to help you find, shape and share your most compelling idea. You'll learn:
  • What are ideas? Discover how TED defines an idea worth spreading and what makes a talk truly memorable.
  • What are your ideas? Reflect on your unique experiences as an educator and surface the insights only you can share.
  • What's your throughline? Craft a sharp, focused thesis that keeps your talk compelling from start to finish.
Throughout the workshop, you'll explore real examples of how educators around the world are using AI. These examples are there to spark your thinking as you reflect on your own work with AI and how it could become the foundation for a TED-style talk. You'll also find resources like the Google AI Educator Series, a collection of free, bite-sized lessons that help educators build AI literacy.

After you complete the workshop, you’ll unlock:
  • A clear thesis statement for your TED-style talk
  • Free access to TED's Official Public Speaking Course
  • An opportunity to submit your idea about AI in education to TED's curation team
  • Connection to a global community of educators developing and sharing their ideas
